Shrirang Mirajkar

Shrirang Mirajkar is himself a tabla enthusiast and an active tabla player since over three decades.

Born and brought up in Pune (India), a city with a very rich musical environment, Shirang got attracted towards Hindustani Music and perticularly towards Tabla at a very young age. With keen support of his parents, and able tutelage of noted tabla guru late Pandit G. L. Samant Shrirang was initiated into of tabla playing in 1976.

After mastering the basic skills Shrirang had an opportunity to learn from his guru late Ustad Gulam Rasool Khansahib for over twelve years, who was himself a a disciple of legendry Ustad Amir Hussain Khansahib. He has also had the wonderful opportunity to learn from masters like Pandit Arvind Mulgaonkar and Pandit Swapan Chaudhuri from whom he continues to learn.

Shrirang has a long experience of performing along with many musicians in India as well as in Switzerland, and is also working for popularizing "Tabla Art" in Switzerland.
